One toolbox, three jobs: convert, calculate, read the market
Converters.ng exists because the Nigerian crypto workflow is genuinely different. We price things in naira but save in dollars. We move money through P2P instead of bank cards. We watch the USDT/NGN rate the way other markets watch their central bank. Generic global tools ignore all of that — so we built the toolbox around it.
The converter answers the everyday question: what is this coin worth in naira, right now? It covers 12 major coins against NGN and USD, with dedicated pages for the pairs Nigerians actually search — BTC to NGN, USDT to NGN, PI to NGN and the rest. Each pair page carries a quick-reference table, the network-fee reality of moving that coin, and the mistakes that cost people money.
The calculators answer the harder questions. The profit calculator includes both-side fees and break-even math, because a "5% win" that ignores fees is often a 2% win. The DCA/SIP calculator models a steady accumulation plan in naira. The what-if machine shows what a past investment would be worth today — fun, humbling, and a better teacher than any thread on X.
And the indexes read the room. The Fear & Greed Index compresses market mood into one number. Bitcoin Dominance shows where the money is hiding. The Altcoin Season Index tells you whether alts are actually outperforming or just loud, and the Rainbow Chart keeps long-term stackers honest about where in the cycle they are buying.
Why naira-first tools matter
Run any global calculator and it will happily tell you your Bitcoin position is up 12% in dollars. Meanwhile your rent, your fuel and your school fees are priced in naira, and the naira moved too. A tool that ignores the second half of that sentence is doing half the job. Our converters show both denominations side by side, and our guides keep repeating the discipline that saves people here: decide in dollars, spend in naira, and know which rate you are looking at. The official rate, the P2P rate and the global reference rate can be three different numbers — the gap between them is not trivia, it is your transaction cost.
That is also why we are careful about what these tools promise. Live prices are reference points, not guaranteed execution prices. A calculator result is arithmetic, not a forecast. Where a model is illustrative — like projecting a DCA plan at an assumed growth rate — we label it loudly. The crypto space has enough people selling certainty; we sell arithmetic.
Built for the phone in your hand
Most Nigerian crypto activity happens on a phone, often on a data bundle that deserves respect. So this site ships no heavy frameworks, no autoplay video, no five-megabyte hero images. Pages load in a blink on 3G, tools run offline once loaded (prices refresh when the connection allows), and everything works with one thumb. If a page ever feels slow on your device, tell us at info@converters.ng — performance complaints get fixed first.

Frequently asked questions
Is Converters.ng free to use?
Completely. Every converter, calculator and index on this site is free, with no account, no app install and no limits. We keep the lights on through clearly-marked affiliate links — the tools themselves never charge you.
Where do your naira rates come from?
Live prices come from CoinGecko’s public market data, which aggregates exchange feeds. The naira figure reflects the market exchange rate baked into that data. Your actual P2P or exchange rate in Nigeria can differ — treat our numbers as the reference point, then compare offers before trading.
Why does BTC to NGN here differ from my P2P app?
P2P sellers price in their own margin, demand swings and the parallel-market dollar rate. A gap of a few percent between global reference rates and Lagos P2P quotes is normal. If the gap looks huge, that is your signal to shop around — it is your money leaking.
Do you store any of my numbers?
No. Calculators run entirely in your browser — amounts you type never leave your device. Live prices are fetched from public APIs; nothing about you is attached to those requests.
Is this site financial advice?
No. We build measurement tools and explain how the market works. What you buy, sell or hold is your decision alone — crypto is volatile and you can lose money. Do your own research and never trade more than you can afford to lose.
